Week 5: Creating an Infographic Through Hubspot

This week we learned how to create an Infographic using Hubspot. Hubspot is a free Infographic design tool that uses powerpoint templates rather than a blank canvas. With Hubspot, templates are already created and all that needs to be done is for you to add in your images and information. Hubspot can be used for a range of different needs. Some of their templates allow users to compare and contrast different items, present statistical data, or even create a story or flowchart. Wether the information is for personal use, or even for business use, Hubspot has it all.

While researching Hubspot, we were assigned with creating a sample infographic of our own. For the sample infographic I created, I decided to do an environmental poster on the effects of plastic which can be seen above. The original template outline the importance of trees and it sparked my interest to do something about plastic. Along with this, I also completed a project for another class about how we should stop using plastic bags and the dangers of plastic throughout our world. This infographic included some of that information such as how about only 7% of plastic is actually recycled. All in all, I thought that Hubspot was actually a really easy platform to use. The site makes it really simple for its users to easily add in their own information and make an Infographic on the fly!
